In the last few years of his life, my father and I both noted that we only seemed to see family at weddings and funerals outside of the odd vacation. By focusing on gathering together for a single weekend each year, my hope is that more people will be able to catch up, stay connected, and honor my father and other family members that we’ve lost throughout the years.
Each year, on the weekend closest to my father’s birthday, I want to invite you to come spend time with me and other family members and friends who were close to my dad and me. There will be no major agenda, activity list, or timeline. This is just a chance for us to get together, reconnect, and spend time with one another. Come and stay all day, drop in for a few minutes and leave, or anything in between.
